Revel is a one‑day annual festival with a rich history, continuing a tradition of more than a hundred celebrations over the past century. Time flies, festivals change, and while some remain and thrive, others still struggle to find their audience. Each year, the festival has a new theme that shapes the style, activities, and dress code of the celebration. My task was to develop this year’s concept, proposing something that can bring together ECA students and the wider art community after a long academic year. Could it be a nostalgic picnic in fancy dresses, with a digital camera, something to doodle on, and a few films to watch?
